Each book consists of decodable text with two- and three-letter words containing short vowels that can be sounded out (e.g. in, hop, hat, bus), very simple sentences (e.g. Bud has a box.), and very limited sight words. The friendly and simple illustrations add to the fun without distracting from the words.
